Easter disrupts some venues, so it is worth checking with your regular teacher or host if your regular lesson or social is on. Why not give them a little chocolate treat to thank them for their tuition?

Our sympathy goes out this week to our french salsa partners who saw Notre Dame alight. 

Closer to home, London's streets have come alive with the message that we need to look after our planet. Being a long weekend, you could pop down to offer some support and still salsa the weekend away.

We all know that eating healthily mixed with exercise is good for the body and mind.

With the sun shining brightly and promising to continue to do so, why not make your weekend perfect by fitting in an extra workshop or party night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Putney salsa club offers a free absolute beginners class free for first timers, has multiple levels of salsa classes and a bachata session to start the Friday evening.  All followed by a lively social. 

Top billing for your late Friday night entertainment is El Grande in Kings Cross, where there are 4 rooms of salsa, bachata and kizomba, with lessons, 10 DJs, 1000+ dancers expected and the music playing till 5am.

Not salsa, but Steve and the Shakedown are live with their 40/50s Jump Blues in Barnes and there is a £2 off offer for London Salsa members 

The Salsa Dlite monthly party is in Danbury, Chelmsford on Saturday.

Over 1200 dancers are expected to make the Easter Sunday pilgrimage to Kings Cross for Easter Extravaganza Scalalatina, where there is a choice of 45 workshops covering many genres of dance followed by party dancing in 4 rooms of salsa, bachata and kizomba till 6am.

Looking ahead to the last weekend in April, I can see all day workshops in salsa and bachata in Paddington.

I'd urge you to book early for the Thames Salsa Cruise on Sunday May 19th, before spaces run out.  This is truly fun, whether you get extra discount by booking as a group or going solo.
